Puppet Kaos - where Kelvin Kao plays with puppets and tell random stories

Merry Christmas, Kelvin Kao style

This morning, Aki and I did a Christmas puppet show at Farmer’s Market. When I arrived there, I didn’t see that many people there, since it’s Christmas. So with only several people watching, we started the show. It was fun. We had an outline but we just kept changing the story and characters during the show, and it actually worked out pretty well, since Aki and I are very used to improvising anyway. Since it’s a puppet show, we didn’t really see what’s going on out there, but from what we heard, the kids and their family are having fun. When it’s over, I realized that we sucessfully drew a crowd. There were a lot more people watching than when we started. Puppetry is magic. I don’t have video footages for it so you are just going to have to take my words for it. We both had a lot of fun doing it and I’m sure thea audience picked up on that. The only thing that’s kind of annoying is that I need to constantly check myself to make sure I don’t cuss (although I don’t cuss much to start with, I am trying to avoid words like heck, darn, as well), and try not to resolve everything with violence.

But I do have this “All I Want for Christmas is U” video, inspired by the song Lydia was practicing, featuring Simon being British. Enjoy!
