Cool Links to Check Out (09/07/2008 edition)
I’ve previously shared links to the other two articles of this series about becoming a director and an editor. I found these to be good tips (and in some cases, reality check) for people that want to enter the film industry.
First Semester Spanish Love Song
You will be amused if you are someone that has only taken one or two years of Spanish in high school and has already forgotten most of it by now. I believe I just described myself.
This is a website telling you which TV shows have “jumped the shark” and they are even sorted neatly into categories of why a show has done so. For those of you that’s not familiar with the term, it’s a reference to an episode of Happy Days in which the character Fonzie literally jumped over a shark while water skiing. To say a show has jumped the shark is to say that a show is about to die and has to resort to far-fetched out-of-character plot lines and gimmicks to attract viewers. Of course, this content of this site is very tongue-in-cheek, but it’s amusing to go and review the shows I used to watch.

Hey! That guy who did the 1st Semester Spanish Love Song is my friend’s boyfriend. He does a bunch of sketch comedy in Cleveland. Glad to see that video is getting out there.
Oh that’s interesting. I think he’s probably a regular for Runaway Box.
I LOVE the jump the shark site! I’m checking all my favorite shows and classic shows and everything.
You always have the best stuff. Thanks!

Haha, glad to share. I look at a lot of random crap on the internet and I don’t use social bookmark services, so here they are, hehe.
LOL!!! I love the love song! That is just hilarious.
Also, thanks for teaching me what “jumping the shark” means. Great terminology.
Thanks to Fonzie for giving us that term.
