Barbie, eh? I’ve never made that connection, but I guess so. After all, they all mimic the way humans look (unlike the more abstract ways Muppets do it). These puppet heads are carved out of wood, by the way. I’ve seen bits and pieces of The Dark Crystal, but I actually haven’t watched the whole movie yet. I should put that on the NetFlix queue.

That’s a cool video. At first it reminded me of a movie I watched when I was a kid: “The Dark Crystal.” Some of the puppet look a little bit like barbie dolls, which is weird. I do love wolves and dragons though

Oh yeah, it’s definitely a very unique thing. In a lot of places, puppet shows are either a classic art performed only in cultural/religious festivals, or they are for kids. Something like this is very unique that it has its own subculture.
